SAT/ACT Strategy

College Admission Counseling

We take small groups and follow interactive learning process for SAT preparation. The key for SAT/ACT preparation is to provide personal attention, keep high schoolers motivated and work with them to continuously correct their mistakes.

We have identified best books for each topic. A typical SAT program lasts 16 weeks of 2 hours of tuition and 3-4 hours of practice and test taking per week. The ACT addition to this program adds another 6 weeks to this program.

In our opinion, SAT/ACT exams are focused on mental ability and problem solving and less on subject matter expertise. So, we notice that several students scoring high grades in high school may have difficulty in scoring high in SAT. The approach for this exam has to be towards open ended problem solving, creativity and speed. We help students build these skills.

College Admission process is the most stressful part during the academic process – not just for students, but also for parents. We provide our expertise to help you navigate college options.

Our focus also includes college applications, including college consultation, proper writing techniques, and appropriate structuring of extracurricular activities. We analyze student’s grades, SAT/ACT scores and extra-curricular activities and work with them to select proper college match.
