Teaching methodology

Whether you want to lift off or stay on track, give yourself the competitive edge in and out of the classroom with talented tutors committed to your success. We realize that learning is a continuous journey in which students need to be welcomed and given positive reinforcement to cultivate a habit of continuous improvement. We take the pressure off learning and partner with parents to raise confident and content students. Once we instill interest and confidence in kids, we challenge them to take up difficult problems and mentor them to achieve their goals.

Every child is different, and we adjust our teaching methods to support individual learning.  We take limited number of kids in each batch (max. 8) and customize the learning curriculum to create a group learning environment that is helpful to every member of the class.

We are committed to your success. Scroll through the tabs above to see the many opportunities we offer to our students; we think you will be pleased with our classes. I work as a director for a top consulting firm in FinTech. In the past for 8 years, I have worked for Microsoft Windows as Program Manager. I am a Computer Engineer and have done MBA from a top 10 college in India. I have several other certifications like PMP. My love for education inspired me to work on the CFA charter, an investment and mathematical modeling charter, which takes average 7 years to complete, and there are only 22,000 CFA in the world.

I am keen to inspire a new generation of students by passing on advanced math, reasoning, and communication skills.  My approach to childhood education is to create a happy and welcoming learning environment, which cultivates more creativity and mental fortitude.  Once students enjoy learning, it becomes easier for them to gain intensive skills.

Hi, I’m Naman Baraya, graduate of TJ’s Class of 2018. I was accepted to Upenn, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, Rice, WashU, Georgetown, UVA, and several others, as well as waitlisted at Harvard.

I received the Neuroscience Research Prize finalist from the American Academy of Neurology and was Siemens Research National Semifinalist. My essays won me hundreds of thousands of dollars in merit-based scholarships from several universities and corporations. I was the recipient of the TJ Sarah Lahr Essay Scholarship, National Merit Scholarship, Coolidge Leadership Scholarship Semifinalist, Yale Basset Service Award Semifinalist, and several more.

I was also TJ Debate Captain; I was triple-octofinalist at Harvard and Yale National Tournaments and sixth place twice at Upenn National Tournament. We have lots of teaching experience with the above subjects, so I’m very confident we can help achieve your goals.

Testimonials

I was so blown away with Vivek Uncle’s teaching. They were so incredible and focused on making me learn from my mistakes and taught me so many new skills that I didn’t know before. I learned so much, especially about high-quality writing and adding a magic touch to everything I write. They are the smartest people I have come across, and I don’t think anybody could have helped me as much as they did.

In just 30-45 minutes, we went over every single concept that I needed to understand and implement for the SAT essay. I don’t want to say it was magic, but the curriculum was extremely detailed and helped me go from 0 to 100 in terms of writing the SAT essay. All lessons have been very informative, interactive, and engaging.

10/10 recommend Vivek. I send both my daughter and son to him and he’s tutored both of them extensively to score high on the SAT. He has given them so much personal attention and never moves past a concept till they have 100 percent understood it. Absolutely amazing experience with him that I haven’t found elsewhere.
